Tayo graduated from Christ School, Ado-Ekiti in 2002 and from the Department of Microbiology, University of Ado-Ekiti in 2008. He bagged a postgraduate diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja in 2010, before proceeding to acquire his Masters degree in Virology in 2014 at the prestigious University of Ibadan. He is currently lecturing at the Ekiti State University, and pursuing his PhD in viral infectious diseases.
In 2012 after working for series of magazines as a freelancer, he created his magazine, ResearchApp (formerly NaijaProfs) which deals with reporting applications of professional knowledge to solve everyday issues. Hence, he is an avid researcher, who is not only well-grounded in his field of microbiology and virology, but in other fields as well that require investigative researches. He also write extensively on religious, political, relationship and sociocultural matters.
He started a fashion company, FabricAfric Limited in Ado-Ekiti in 2017, where he is into mass production of fashionable local wears and fashion accessories such as bags, shoes and beads. His company is also into promotion, sales, marketing and sponsoring of local creativities and talents.
Generally, he is into: investigative and/or in-depth and well-researched writings; sensitization of public or individuals on infectious diseases and; production of fashionable wears and other fashion accessories. He runs the ViralBase column on the magazine.
